Name: Edward Anthony Masen Cullen
Age: Born on June 20th, 1901 and turned into a vampire in 1918 at the age of 17. He’s roughly been a vampire for 104 years.
Gender: Male
Home town/country: Chicago, Illinois
Likes: Bella, piano, cooking (although this frustrates him because he can't taste it), his family
Dislikes: Drinking human blood, being a vampire, Victoria, the Volturri, not being able to eat normal human food
Appearance: Standing 6’2” Edward is tall and lanky but not bulky. Boyish looking, with untidy golden, almost bronze colored hair. His eyes when he was human, were green and now range anywhere between gold topaz to onyx black.
PB - Gaspard Ulliel.
Personality: When danger is affront, Edward tends to prefer to keep Bella in the dark, over telling her what truly is going on. It’s a sure way for him to attempt to keep her out of harms way, but it seems to only intrigue her, and more often than not she finds her own way into the situation merely to answer the questions that Edward refuses too. He also tends to put of his feeding till the last possible moment, to avoid spending less time with Bella than is required.
Edward is a very complicated vampire. He tends to overreact easily, but has good intentions. He is a very deep thinker, and believes that he is an obstacle in the way of Bella Swan's life, only wishing to have her live out a normal life. He is not the happiest person himself - often calling himself a monster before naming any other adjective. His love for Bella runs deep and it is teaching him something that can never be learned in a textbook - love. He has almost constant mood swings; it just depends on the topic. Edward easily hides his emotions and the things he thinks away from her, believing that hiding things will be better then speaking them, He however gets frustrated very easily, especially when dealing with Bella, but this may be because he can't read her mind. Most of the time he is rather calm and seems like he doesn't care, but he's actually a loving person who cares a lot about the people close to him. He worries constantly over Bella's safety. Edward lives with the fact that his thirst for Bella's blood will constantly plague him and he'd rather live with this than see her turn into a vampire.
History: Edward’s human life in Chicago was fairly happy and uneventful. His parents were moderately wealthy as his father was a successful lawyer. The biggest worry in his mother’s life was the fact that World War I was raging and Edward was only a year away from the draft, which had been lowered to 18 years of age in August of 1918. By September of that same year, the influenza epidemic hit, claiming the lives of both of Edward’s parents and very nearly taking his own as well. His attending physician was Carlisle Cullen, who saved him by changing him into a vampire. It was Edward’s mother who requested Dr. Cullen save Edward. She seemed to “know” that Carlisle could save him in a special way and begged him to do it.
Since that time, Edward has passed as Carlisle’s adopted son or as the younger brother of his wife before the family grew to its current size. He has been to medical school twice, but never practiced. He loves driving fast and collects cars as a hobby. From 1927 until 1931, Edward had a bout of rebellion and went off for a few years on his own away from Carlisle and Esme. He figured that he could drink off of humans if they were truly evil, using his special gifts to avoid the innocent. After a while, he couldn’t “escape the debt of so much human life taken, no matter how justified” and returned to Carlisle and Esme who welcomed him back with open arms. Around 1936, Edward moved to Forks with his family where they encountered the Quileute Indians who have the ability to transform into werewolves. A treaty was arranged stating that the wolves would leave the Cullens alone so long as they didn’t bite any humans and stay off of the Quileute land. The Cullens lived in Forks for a few years before moving on to other places.
In 2003 the Cullens returned to Forks. Then in 2005 Edward meets Isabella Swan. Her blood “sings” for him and he becomes infatuated with her. She soon figures out his secret and accepts him as a vampire. They fall in love despite innumerable odds. When Bella becomes the victim of a tracker named James, Edward is forced to drink her blood to stop the venom form spreading through her system.
Edward stays with Bella until her disastrous 18th birthday party where he is forced to re-evaluate the future of her life with him. He decides that Bella would be better off living a normal life without him and leaves Forks along with his family. He spends his time tracking Victoria all around the southern United States and even ventures into Mexico and South America. When he is told that Bella is dead, he travels to Italy with the intention of committing suicide. Bella and Alice arrive in Italy in time to stop him. He convinces the Volturi to let them all return to Forks with the promise that Bella will be made a vampire.
The return to Forks means the return to a normal routine between Edward and Bella. He agrees to change Bella as long as she will marry him. He is then reminded by Jacob Black that the treaty says he is forbidden to bite a human.
With everyone back in Forks, we find that Edward is having Bella fill out college applications to schools far away from Forks, so they can be together for college and still be near wilderness to hunt. Bella is still hoping that "going to college" will be a cover for her once she becomes a vampire. After graduation, Bella convinces Edward not to participate in the upcoming battle with Victoria and her vampire army, fearing she would not be able to bear being separated from him again. They spend a night together in his home alone, where Bella tells him what she wants more than anything to "sleep with him" before she becomes a vampire. He refuses at first, but eventually agrees on the condition that they are married before they do so. He proposes to her and she accepts, looking down on the prospect of marriage but not entirely opposed to it. She sees that her being turned into a vampire is clearly the best part to look forward to.

Rp sample: Edward sat there, staring out the window of Bella's bedroom. She was asleep, and fortunately hadn't awakened when he'd gotten up and moved himself to her rocking chair. Things were getting tough with Bella, but not relationship-wise. No, things were great in that department... it was just that she was very upset about his almost constant refusal to him changing her. He thought back to their argument from earlier and sighed softly, his voice not audible to Bella’s ears. She didn’t understand the situation from his side and he wasn’t willing to voice his fears yet.
He suspected that Bella had confided into Alice, for the smoldering gazes he had been receiving from his sister set him on edge. If Bella had indeed asked Alice to look into why he was so unwilling to change her, Edward knew that Alice would eventually figure it out and report it back to Bella. That wasn’t what worried him. He was more afraid that she would find his reason for hesitation, too uncharacteristic of him. He was far to afraid of loosing Bella and he didn’t just mean by having her killed. He was afraid that if he turned her and the turning changed her too much, she would loose herself and cease to be the Bella he fell in love with. It was a complicated web he weaved.
Looking over at Bella, Edward sighed. She was so beautiful when she slept... he wished she could be this peaceful all the time.
